MW4 Steam Guide Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information involved in browsing MW4 Steam Guide, choosing optional analytics, using its local tools and emailing the editorial desk. You can read the guides with analytics kept off.

MW4 Steam Guide data paths: local tools and saved choices, Cloudflare page and image delivery, and optional Google Analytics.
Analytics is optional; page delivery still requires network requests.

How the MW4 Steam Guide Privacy Policy Applies

This policy covers mw4steam.com, published by MW4 Steam Guide editorial desk. It describes the site’s current setup as of October 24, 2026. Questions about this policy can be directed through the contact page.

Reading the guides does not require a site account. We do not ask you to submit Steam credentials, phone numbers, payment information or device logs. Game purchases and account changes happen on the official services you choose to visit.

What Goes Where

The distinction is between information used locally in your browser, requests needed to deliver the website and optional requests to analytics. “Analytics off” does not mean that loading an internet page makes no network requests.

What Goes Where
ActivityInformation involvedDestination and control
Open an article or site assetRequested resource, IP address and normal technical request informationCloudflare’s page hosting and delivery services receive the network request needed to serve it.
Load an imageImage address and connection informationGuide images, social images and policy workflow diagrams are served through Cloudflare R2 at assets.mw4steam.com. Tool and draft inputs are not added to these requests.
Save an analytics choiceAllow or off, a timestamp and a choice-generation markerThis browser’s localStorage remembers the choice. It is not the contact message or an account profile.
Allow optional analyticsPage views and limited guide, store and official-support click fields, plus information Google receives with its requestsGoogle Analytics loads after a valid Allow choice. You can withdraw through Analytics choices.
Use the SSD-space toolFree-space and reserve numbers that you type, plus the calculated resultThe calculation stays in the page; the site does not save or upload those values.
Use a price, checklist or next-step helperPrices and other numbers you enter, checks you mark, edition choices or selected symptomsValues are used only in the current page’s memory to calculate a difference or suggest a route. They are not saved by the site, submitted to a service or sent to analytics.
Prepare a contact draftThe public page URL and message you typeThe helper creates a mailto link locally. The site does not submit those fields to a form service.
Open and send an emailYour email address, draft text and anything else you choose to includeOpening the draft passes it to your mail application. Sending it uses email services and delivers it to the editorial inbox if successful.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you select Allow analytics, including a valid choice you have previously saved in this browser. Keeping analytics off does not limit access to the guides or the local tools. Google Analytics is configured on this site; allowing it is optional.

With permission, the site uses page views and selected guide, store and official-support link clicks to understand which information people find useful. The site’s event fields use page paths and limited categories such as store or edition. Contact-form text, entered prices, calculator inputs, checklist states, selected symptoms, passwords and phone numbers are not included in those events. Page addresses sent by the site’s analytics code omit query strings and fragments.

Loading Google Analytics also makes requests to Google. Google can receive connection and device information associated with those requests and use analytics cookies. Google’s privacy policy describes its handling of information. Permission for this site’s analytics does not grant permission to send personal details through the contact form.

Change or Withdraw Your Choice

Select Analytics choices in the footer to review your choice. You can keep analytics off or withdraw a previous permission. Withdrawal stops future site analytics activity and attempts to remove this site’s accessible analytics cookies. It does not recall information already sent to Google.

The choice and its time are stored in your browser’s localStorage so the site can remember your preference. Changes synchronize across open tabs for this site in the same browser. They do not automatically synchronize across devices, browser profiles or different browsers. Clearing site data removes the saved choice; if the preference cannot be read or saved, analytics stays off.

The site treats a saved choice older than 180 days as no current choice. This is the site’s local preference-validity period, not a promise about Google’s retention of information already received. A browser may clear storage sooner. A new browser or profile may therefore show the choices again even if you have already made a selection elsewhere.

Tools That Run in Your Browser

The SSD-space tool on the download page performs arithmetic locally. Its inputs are not sent to a server, saved by the site or included in analytics. The result is an estimate based on what you enter, rather than a scan of your disk.

The preparation, edition, requirements, security and troubleshooting helpers use the checkboxes and options you select to suggest a next step. The price helper compares two same-region, same-currency amounts you enter. These helpers use only the current page’s memory: they do not read your device state, inspect an account, look up a live price or upload their entries. The site does not store their selections across visits. Your browser may separately restore form controls when you return to a page.

The contact page creates an email draft locally. Field contents are not posted to a form service, saved by the site or included in analytics. When you choose to open the draft, the browser passes its text to your mail application. You decide whether to send it.

The helper does not deliberately persist a draft across page visits. Your browser or mail application may have its own form-restoration or draft-saving behavior. Review what it retains and remove sensitive details before sending. Do not enter passwords, recovery codes, phone numbers or device logs into the helper.

The home-page guide finder filters links to this site’s seven published guides. Its search words stay in the current page and are not added to the address, saved by the site or sent to analytics. It does not search your computer or an external search service.

Hosting and Image Delivery

Opening a page requires network requests to the site’s hosting and delivery services. Those services may process technical request information such as IP address, requested resource, time and browser information to deliver content, maintain security and diagnose failures. Keeping optional analytics off does not prevent the network processing needed to load the page.

Guide images, social images and policy workflow diagrams are delivered through Cloudflare R2 and its associated delivery domain. An image request is a separate network request with connection information; it does not include the values entered into local helpers or the draft form. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its description of provider data handling. No specific hosting-log retention period is promised here.

Opening a Steam, Activision, Microsoft or other external link takes you to that provider’s service. It can receive normal connection information and a referrer according to your browser and the link settings. Its own privacy terms apply there.

If you send an email, your mail provider transmits your address, message and any material you choose to include. The editorial desk receives the message if delivery succeeds and can use it to handle your question or correction. Send only the minimum information needed. No fixed email retention period or response deadline is stated.

Incoming mail to hello@mw4steam.com is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the editorial Gmail inbox. Outgoing editorial email uses the configured Resend SMTP service through Gmail. These email services process the message and routing information needed for delivery. Preparing the local draft alone does not initiate that email-delivery flow.

If you want to ask about a message you previously sent, identify it with its approximate date and subject. Avoid forwarding extra account information to establish the request. The desk can address its own handling of a message; requests about data held by a game, store, browser or email provider belong with that provider.

Advertising and Policy Changes

There are no advertising placements or advertising tags in this launch setup, and the site does not publish an ads.txt file. Optional analytics is a separate choice.

If the site adds a service or changes how these tools handle data, this policy should be updated to describe that behavior. The date at the top identifies the current policy version. For a question about information you have emailed, use the editorial contact; avoid sending additional sensitive information in the request.
